Youth nicotine use continues to rise, and more and more teachers are seeing the effects. The consequences of adolescent nicotine use are real: it harms developing brains and makes young people more susceptible to addiction later in life. Teachers surveyed by the Truth Initiative have also expressed concern, stating that the frequent use leads to class disruptions and impacts students’ ability to focus.
