This October, Oklahoma families have two chances to celebrate healthy habits. Shape Your Future, a program of the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET), is inviting communities to take part in National Child Health Day on Oct. 6 and Walk & Roll to School Day on Oct. 8.
National Child Health Day highlights the importance of children’s health and lifelong habits. Walk & Roll to School Day encourages students to walk, bike or roll to school with friends and neighbors, giving families a fun way to stay active while promoting safe and accessible routes to school.
“Every step counts,” said Julie Bisbee, TSET executive director. “When families make time to be active together, they set the foundation for lifelong healthy habits. Events like Walk & Roll to School Day create healthier communities for Oklahoma’s children.”
