Oklahoma Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence

The Oklahoma Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence serves as the authorized body to approve apparatus, devices, equipment, materials, supplies and other items used for or involved in tests for alcohol and other intoxicating substances. The Oklahoma Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence also oversees chemical screening tests at roadside during impaired driving investigations, evidential tests used to prosecute civil and criminal actions, and ignition interlock testing used to ensure public safety during or after litigation. The agency plays a leading role in training law enforcement officers in all aspects of impaired driving chemical testing. The agency participates in the development and adoption of new technologies to assist law enforcement in identifying and arresting impaired drivers as well as keeping Oklahoma drivers safe from convicted impaired drivers. Finally, the agency is an important stakeholder in highway safety, routinely providing technical assistance and training to legislators, prosecutors, judges, the bar, and the public in all aspects of impaired driving.
