Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers

Founded in 1981, the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers serves as the regulatory oversight body designed to safeguard the welfare of the public of the State of Oklahoma by establishing, promoting and enforcing high standards of practice for licensed social workers. The Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers oversees the approval of all licensure applications and licensure renewals; manages complaints filed against licensed social workers; coordinates the fiscal aspects of the agency to include required state audits and maintenance of required files; coordinates with other related professional organizations, groups and committees as determined by the needs of the agency; represents the agency with state and federal legislative leadership; and coordinates and negotiates contracts on behalf of the agency to assure the day-to-day operation of the agency is met.
