Office of Disability Concerns

Founded in 1981, the Office of Disability Concerns provides accurate and timely information, referral, technical assistance and advocacy for Oklahoma's state and local governments and the citizens of Oklahoma. ODC acts as an intermediary for persons with disabilities and provides awareness, education, referral, resources and technical expertise.​ The agency has the following duties:

  • Provide technical assistance for all things concerning disability​.
  • Train and increase awareness for businesses, schools, general public, groups and associations, and state agencies​.
  • Administer the Client Assistance Program (CAP)​.
  • Maintain inbound channels to support inquiries over a variety of subjects that may affect a person with a disability.  ​
  • Maintain an original library of information that includes practical publications, training material, suggested reading material, Facebook and the agency website​.
