OK-ISAC promotes technology education by offering Raspberry Pi devices to Oklahoma schools
Every Oklahoma student should have a piece of the pie – the technology pi, that is
OK-ISAC has a sweet deal for Oklahoma schools that could use a Raspberry Pi for more student learning and engagement activities in STEM and STEAM classes.
Applications to request a free CanaKit are now available to educators in secondary (grades 8-12) and higher education and will be accepted through April 5. The kit includes a Raspberry Pi 4 and the accessories needed to help educators bake up some great lesson plans.
The Raspberry Pi 4, with 4GB of RAM, offers ground-breaking increases in processor speed, multimedia performance, memory and connectivity compared to the prior-generation boards, while retaining backwards compatibility and similar power consumption.
The kit contains one high quality 4K60P Micro HDMI to HDMI cable (6 feet) to provide the best output display resolution support and an option for dual monitor capabilities. Also included is a CanaKit 3.5A USB-C power supply (UL Listed) specially designed and tested for the Raspberry Pi 4. This power supply incorporates a noise filter to provide the highest stability.
Recipients will receive the popular black, high-gloss finish CanaKit Raspberry Pi case which is adapted to be fully compatible with the Pi 4, as well as a set of three Aluminum Heat Sinks and a CanaKit low-noise fan to help keep the Pi 4 running cool.

OK-ISAC is proud to support that mission by offering Oklahoma schools these kits, made possible by funding from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security from the Homeland Security Grant Program.
Kits are limited and will be shared with schools that voice a need combined with plans for immediate use in the classroom.
