Muskogee, Okla. – Spaghetti and meatballs will top the menu and the plates on Oct. 15, when the Oklahoma School for the Blind partners with Muskogee Masonic Lodge #28 A.F. & A.M. to host their annual fundraiser.
The public is invited to attend from 5 to 8 p.m. at the OSB campus in the new gym. The school is located at 3300 Gibson Street in Muskogee.
The cost is $10 at the door. Tickets can be pre-purchased at the school.
OSB’s award-winning Jazz Band will entertain beginning at 5:30 p.m.
OSB staff have organized a basket silent auction, and a dessert auction will be live.
“We are grateful to our partners, the Muskogee Lodge #28 A.F. & A.M., for partnering with us to make this event possible and the OSB staff for the auctions,” OSB Interim Superintendent Brent Pearce said. “This is a special event for our students and a lot of fun for everyone involved.”
OSB is a division of the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services.
The Oklahoma School for the Blind is the statewide resource for the education of students who are blind or visually impaired. Residential and commuter students meet or exceed all state-mandated education requirements. They receive specialized instruction in braille, orientation and mobility, optimum use of low vision, adaptive equipment technology and tactile graphic skills not readily available at other public schools in the state. OSB also provides thousands of hours of free services each year for students attending other public schools, their families and educations.
