Brandon Hinton, Veteran Field Service Officer 3(VSO3) is a combat dog handler. Brandon began his dog-handling career in narcotics and graduated to explosives in a short amount of time. He has been assisting Oklahoma Veterans with their claims for over 3 years. Brandon remains current on all his federal training. On Mondays, Brandon works at the Edmond Auxiliary site located at 101 E. 5th Street Edmond, OK 73034. Brandon’s hobbies are being an active parent to his kids.

Dustin Simmons is a Veteran Service Representative 1 with the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs’ central office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Along with completed the home visits for veteran with mobility issues, Dustin is also the face of the ODVA in the Yukon area. 1010 W. Main St. Yukon, OK 73099. With a decade of service and serving in both Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Dustin has transitioned his career by obtaining a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma. His military background, academic achievements, and certifications are now channeled into a servant leadership role within the veteran community. His adept leadership skills have fostered a culture of ongoing growth and success, consistently inspiring and guiding individuals to reach their full potential.

Amber Mosley, a Veteran Field Service Officer 1(VSO1) is an army veteran of 12 years with a behavioral health background. Her strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt fluidly, and adaptability for a range for personalities is instrumental to the work of a VSO. Her role at ODVA and Central Office include assisting Women Veteran in need of filing claims, she acts the homeless veteran coordinator directing community resources to veterans at risk of homelessness or veterans experiencing homelessness. She also is also stationed at our Tinker Air Force Base and Midwest City offices. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with family, traveling, spending time at the beach, reading a good book, and drinking pumpkin-spiced lattes while wearing comfortable sweaters on a cold winter day. She also likes collecting houseplants.

Ivan Barnes, Veteran Field Service Officer 3(VSO3) is a combat infantry veteran of the 2nd battle of Fallujah Korangal Valley in Afghanistan. Ivan also took part in anti-piracy operations off the Horn of Africa from 2011-2012. He is a veteran of 3 service branches that include the United States Marine Corps, Oklahoma Army National Guard(271st BSB), and the Navy Reserves. He is currently stationed at the VA hospital located at 921 NE 13th Street OKC, OK 73012. In his free time, he engages in medieval reenactment, board games, and table top role games. He has a degree in History from the University of Central Oklahoma with an emphasis on classical history. He credits his record researching skills he obtained at UCO learned while pursuing his degree greatly enhanced his ability to parse through treatment records.

Roland Edge started with ODVA in April 2019 and is now serving as a Veteran Service Representative IV for Justice Involved VSR (TEEM VSR). TEEM works with Justice involved Veterans. His duties include working with incarcerated Veterans and those Veterans who are involved in the criminal justice system, to ensure they don’t become repeat offenders and establish their disability claims through the Federal VA. Roland is a 3-year Veteran of the US Navy and had served in several different rolls before coming to ODVA. He has served as a Sheriff's Deputy, Correctional Officer, and Probation Officer. He had also volunteered as a Veteran Service Representative for the American Legion before coming to ODVA. Roland holds a Bachelor of Technology in Emergency Responder Administration, and his hobbies include shooting, reading, and taking various training courses.

Linda is a Veteran Service Representative (VSO3). Linda provides information and assists veterans, surviving spouses, their dependents, and other interested parties regarding compensation, education, burial benefits, and other programs and/or benefits to which they may be entitled. Linda is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University located in Alva, OK. She has a business with an emphasis in Human Resources Degree. She was previously employed with the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Representative (DVOP) and then, shortly after, she was employed with the Local Veteran Employment Representative (LVER). In 2012, Linda Turner transferred to The Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs for a more challenging career as a VSO in the Northwestern panhandle of the state of Oklahoma. Linda is a team player, leader, and someone willing to help any veteran, anywhere, anytime.

Catherine moved to Oklahoma in 2000 after separating from the U.S. Navy. Although a Native of Florida, she has come to love her adopted home in Oklahoma. She is a graduate of Harvest Time Christian Academy in Riverview, Florida going on to complete a certification course in computer programming and basic business administration. She joined the Navy in 1987 spending time during the First Gulf War in Rota Spain as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate working on the P-3 Orion and C-130 Hercules aircraft. Upon her separation from the Navy, she went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree through the VA’s Vocational Rehabilitation Program in Paralegal Studies, and Criminal Justice with a minor in Social Work. Catherine came to work for ODVA in July 2013 after working for five years with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. In 2020 Catherine became the Regional Program Administrator for the Southeast region of ODVA and continues to serve in that position with pride and love for her God, Family, and Country.

Catherine is a six-year Navy veteran, having served from 1997 to 2003 as a Machinist Mate 3rd class petty officer. Catherine later earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. Moving to Oklahoma in 2014, Catherine started working for the state as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist with the Employment Security Commission in June. As of August 2022, she made the move to ODVA as a traveling Service Officer to continue helping the veterans that she has grown to know and admire in her surrounding local communities. Catherine’s hard work and dedication to the Veterans she serves and made her very popular and sought after for her thoroughness and knowledge as their liaison to the federal VA.

Shane Satterfield is a Veteran's Representative III. He joined ODVA in April 2021 and has worked in the OKC VAMC, the Central Office, the Muskogee Regional Office and is now a member of the Southeast Team. Shane served in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1996. He served with the 11th MEU and was deployed to Somalia during Operation Continue Hope in 1994. He graduated from Northeastern State University in 2010 with Bachelors in Elementary Education and went on to teach school for several years before becoming a Veterans Service Officer. Shane is currently a member of VFW Post 8798 in Eufaula and he enjoys spending time with his children and his family.

Terry “Ryan” Stubbs was born in Augusta, Georgia. He moved to Oklahoma in 2009 with his family and graduated from Van Buren High School, Van Buren, AR. He joined the Arkansas Army National Guard in 2006 and before graduation went to Basic Training in Fort Sill, OK. He is a combat of veteran of Iraq, where he was deployed in 2008. Ryan returned from Iraq in December of 2008 and left the National Guard in February of 2012. He has had several jobs since his military separation. In January 2020, Ryan found his niche working with Veterans as the Arkansas Crawford County Veteran Service Officer. He worked with Veterans in Arkansas until his transfer to Oklahoma to the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs where he serves the Veterans of Sequoyah, Haskell, Latimer, and Leflore counties. Ryan's Supervisor reports that she has been approached multiple times in the local community by families Ryan has assisted with praise for his kindness, generosity, thoroughness, compassion, and diligence in his work, many stating how he was able to get their final rating to the 100% level after years of trying. Ryan does not give up on a claim until he has researched every possible resource he can related to the conditions the Veteran has been diagnosed with to determine how, not if, the issue can be service connected. Ryan assists his co-workers with his knowledge of the VA claims and benefits processing and is happy to share his experience with anyone who is interested in learning.
