OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell announced today the hiring of Jerry Morris as his new chief of staff.
“Jerry is a lifelong Oklahoman with a passion to serve,” said Lieutenant Governor Pinnell. “With experience in both public service and the private sector, Jerry is a great fit for this role. I know he will serve my office and our constituents well.”
Morris has worked in private banking and wealth management the past 10 years. He previously served as the state director for former U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. Morris grew up in Okmulgee and attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology before earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma.
“It is an honor to support Lieutenant Governor Pinnell and serve the people of Oklahoma,” said Morris. “Lieutenant Governor Pinnell is doing important work to grow and better the state, and I look forward to helping him with his mission to make Oklahoma the best state to live, work, and raise a family.”
Morris replaces Kirby Smith, who recently departed to pursue an opportunity in the private sector.
