Lt. Governor Pinnell To Compete In Route 66 Marathon

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell announced today that he will be running in the Williams Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This annual race celebrates the history of the iconic Route 66 and offers six run options, ranging from a one-mile fun run to a full marathon. Lt. Governor Pinnell will be competing in the 13.1 mile half marathon.

“I am looking forward to competing in the the fifteenth annual Route 66 Marathon in my hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.,” said Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell. “As we approach the centennial anniversary of our beloved Route 66, it’s important to reflect on the history of the famous route, the economic impact that it has in our state, and make big plans for its future.”

The Williams Route 66 Marathon is on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Runners’ start dates and times as well as registration information can be found at route66marathon.com. Press is welcome to attend.
