‘Tis the Season to Visit Service Oklahoma

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 8, 2023

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. -- As the busy holiday season is in full swing, it’s the perfect time to stop by a Service Oklahoma location for any driver license or motor vehicle service with little-to-no wait!

Right now, there are short to no lines at many Service Oklahoma locations, making the days leading up to the holidays a great time for Oklahomans to mark it off their to-do list.

For convenience, “No Wait” locations are also regularly posted to Service Oklahoma social media pages giving customers real-time information to plan their visit.

Winter break is also a great time for Learner Permit holders to visit the recently opened Drive Test Center, located at 7705 S Walker in Oklahoma City, where citizens can walk-in for a drive test!

To ensure a quick and efficient visit, service.ok.gov is full of user-friendly resources, where a customer can select the service they’d like to complete, find the requirements and a list of documents they’ll need to bring, ensuring a quick and efficient visit.

Many driver license and motor vehicle services are also offered online, eliminating the need for an in person visit in many cases! Online services include:

  • Submitting a DOT Medical Card for all Commercial Driver License holders.
  • Renewing or replacing Driver License, State ID Card and Commercial Driver License.
  • Applying for a Disability Parking Placard.
  • Reinstating a suspended Driver License through the Online Reinstatement Portal.
  • Renewing a Vehicle Registration.
  • Applying for Parent Taught Driver Instruction.
  • Updating a mailing address to match what is displayed on a Driver License.
  • Tracking the status of a Driver License application.
  • Updating an Intermediate Driver License to an Unrestricted Driver License.

Service Oklahoma encourages customers to visit their website for driver license and motor vehicle resources, FAQs and support. If customers need additional help, they are invited to call the customer support line at (405) 522-7000, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Service Oklahoma inherited and overhauled the driver license customer support line this last year.

  • Customer answer rate dramatically increased from 6% to 92%.
  • Average customer wait time decreased from 20 minutes (early 2023) to 1.5 minutes (November 2023).
  • Current customer satisfaction score is an average of 6.13 out of 7.
