Explanation: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says children are considered obese with a BMI at or above the 95th percentile. Children who have obesity are more likely to become adults with obesity. Adult obesity is associated with increased risk of several serious health conditions including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer.

It includes all poisonings that result from an unintentional event, self-harm, assault or unknown intent.

Prescription Monitoring Program
Metric: Increase the number of medical providers requesting information from the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
Explanation: The PMP can run prescription reports on patients taking controlled drugs like pain killers, stimulants, sedatives and tranquilizers. Use of the PMP decreases the risk to patients of unintended consequences when reviewed by physicians and pharmacists in a clinical setting.
