Todd Booze was Co-owner and President of Construction for Ideal Homes in Norman, OK from 1990-2018 and currently serves as Director of National Housing Quality Award for Professional Builder Magazine and provides consulting for residential builders in various markets around the country.

Since 1990 Booze and his team have constructed over 8,000 new homes in the Oklahoma City area and received numerous local and national awards including Builder of the Year from Professional Builder Magazine, America’s Best Builder from Builder Magazine and National Housing Quality Silver and Gold Award winner.

Under his direction, Ideal Homes built the first National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) Green Certified Home in Oklahoma, the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) residential home in Oklahoma and led the charge on high performance, energy efficient construction by becoming the first builder in America to construct an affordable line of Energy Star Homes and NAHB Certified Builder (International Organization for Standardization) from NAHB Research Center.

Booze is a 32 year active member and leader in the Building community. He is a past member of the national Energy and Environmental Builders Alliance (EEBA), the NAHB, the Builder Association of South Central Oklahoma (BASCO) as President and past Board of Directors, the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association (COHBA) Board of Directors and serves as Municipal Affairs Liaison, the Oklahoma State Homebuilders Association (OSHBA) where he served as President in 2014 and currently serves on the board of directors and Legislative Chairman. Through this involvement he has played a vital role in the advancement of energy efficient awareness and building performance standards, as well as key political issues pertaining to the building industry. He also served as the Vice Chairman of the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission Building Technical Committee for the State adoption of 2009 & 2015 IRC Building Code State and Chairman of 2018 IRC Building Technical Committee and Currently serves as Commissioner of the Oklahoma Uniform Builder Code Commission 2023-present. Booze also serves on the Board of Directors for Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity.

Booze served as a member of the NAHB Research Center’s Quality Builders Council and currently served as a national judge for the National Housing Quality Award program from 2006-current.

He is a Certified Builder through the OSHBA and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Oklahoma.

He, his wife Kris, and their two sons live in Norman.
