Additional Adult Day Care Licensure Qualifications

Refer to OAC 490, Chapters 1, 10 and 15 for the definitive requirements
For an ADULT DAY CARE (ADC) ADMINISTRATOR'S LICENSE:
- the applicant must successfully complete Board approved training for ADC administrators (dates will be posted on our website calendar...)
- the applicant must have one of the following:
-- a high school diploma AND 5 years consecutive supervisory experience in a long term care or geriatric setting; OR
-- A Bachelor's degree AND 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a social or health services setting; OR
-- An active Oklahoma Nursing license (RN or LPN), in good standing, AND 2 years of nursing experience;
- Upon completion of the training, the applicant will be required to take/pass the State Standards examination for Adult Day Care Administrators. There is currently no requirement to pass any NAB Examination for this license.
The scope of practice for an ADC administrator only includes an adult day care center or facility. Annual renewal fees are $100.
