The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) has negotiated an amendment to the Hootsuite terms that covers use of the platform by State of Oklahoma agencies. The terms apply to all versions of the Hootsuite platform. These terms must be signed by a representative of the agency prior to an agency implementing the platform.
Agencies already using Hootsuite are not grandfathered and will need to sign the revised terms.

Before a State of Oklahoma agency may use any social media or social networking site, the agency must have such an internal social media policy developed and approved by OMES. Create the policy and submit it to the OMES Service Desk. Guidance for creating this policy may be found in the State of Oklahoma Social Networking and Social Media Development Methodology. OMES must approve the agency policy before the agency may use social networking or social media technologies.
Request and review a copy of the revised Hootsuite terms. Submit your request for the revised terms to the OMES Service Desk - by phone at (405) 521-2444; by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If, after reviewing the revised terms, the agency wants to use Hootsuite, a representative of the agency needs to sign the revised terms and then begin the procurement process. Hootsuite is available for purchase using IT statewide contract 1041.

In order for an agency to have its social networking or social media site linked on the State web portal, OK.gov, an agency must to sign and return a copy of the Social Networking/Social Media Agreement.
