State Women Veterans Events

Women Veterans Symposium-held annually the first Saturday in March, on OSU campus in Stillwater, kicks off Women’s History Month with breakouts and speakers covering topics such as “Breaking the Glass Ceiling”, “Wellness of Women”, offers regional instructors for nutrition, fitness, entrepreneurship, veteran benefits and supportive services. Oklahoma HerStory Project-Digital Library Project, accompanies the State Veteran Registry, photos and historical narrative of Oklahoma women’s military service. Photo shoots across the state, with professional photographer, digital image provided to the veteran, courtesy of ODVA.

Women’s Armed Services Integration Act-June 12, 1948

Celebrating the Act that provided women the ability to service in the armed services without the necessity of war.  Annual activities in Oklahoma include Women Veterans Resource Fair.
