Public comment period now open for Oklahoma Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act state plan

OKLAHOMA CITY  — As part of requirements from the U.S. departments of Labor and Education, the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, and Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services will be completing a two-year modification to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) State Plan.

The plan is due March 15, 2022 to the U.S. Department of Labor.

All comments must be submitted in writing to oklaworks@okcommerce.gov to be considered. Those who comment should use the subject heading State Plan 2021.

The plan can be found at www.oklahomaworks.gov/stateplanmod.

Three public Meetings about the plan will be held:

  • January 7, 2022, 9:15 a.m., at OSU-OKC, Student Center, Pruitt Suite, 900 N. Portland Ave. Oklahoma City, 73017

  • January 21, 2022, 11 a.m., at (Tulsa Technology Center, Conference Center meeting room, 801 E. 91st Street, Tulsa, 74132

  • January 28, 2022, 1 p.m., Virtual Meeting. See www.oklahomaworks.gov/stateplanmod for details.
