Public invited to Rehabilitation Services Commission’s first virtual meeting April 13
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Commission for Rehabilitation Services will utilize ZOOM video conferencing to hold their first virtual meeting beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 13. The public is invited to join via computers, other connected devices or phones.
The Commission governs the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services, which annually assists nearly 83,000 Oklahomans with disabilities through employment, education, independent living programs and determination of medical eligibility for Social Security disability benefits.
“Video conferencing enables the Commission to protect the health and safety of the public and DRS employees, while continuing to guide critical DRS services during a challenging and unprecedented time in history,” Commission Chair Jace Wolfe, Ph.D. said in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commissioner Wolfe, Vice Chair Wes Hilliard, Commissioner Emily Cheng, DRS Executive Director Melinda Fruendt and others on the agenda will join the meeting from remote locations.
