New programs (not yet operating) must have begun the licensure process with OKDHS at the time of application. This includes being issued a license number (K8#) and the completion of an application visit. As part of President Biden’s $1.9 trillion emergency relief bill, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), states are receiving $39 billion for child care relief, and Oklahoma has received $360 million in funding to allocate as grants to licensed child care programs.
Apply today through OKDHS to receive funding as soon as possible.

Step 4: Child care program is notified of approval via email
