OKDHS:2-1-64. Registration, certification and licensure payments for Department employees

Issued 6-11-92

In any case where licensure, certification or registration is required of any employee in the performance of his or her duties for the Department of Human Services or the State of Oklahoma, the payment of any required fees and the maintenance of such licensure, certification or registration in good standing shall be the sole responsibility of the employee. The cost of licensure, certification or registration will neither be paid for nor reimbursed to the employee by the Department of Human Services. Failure to maintain required licensure, certification or registration may be grounds for discharge or other disciplinary action for inability to perform the duties of the positions to which the employee is assigned. This policy shall not apply to payment for certification as a notary public when an employee is asked to obtain such certification for the benefit and convenience of the Department. Requests for exceptions to the policy must be submitted to the State Office or OMC Personnel Office for review prior to submission to the Director of Human Services for approval.
