Paying Child Support

If a client is legally obligated to pay child support, you can give a deduction for the SNAP program, helping to offset the client's income.

  • Clients must be legally obligated to pay – either by a court order or by paying to a state child support enforcement agency.  Verification will need to be provided as child support that is being paid by a mutual agreement is not a deductible expense for SNAP.
