Each household is an applicant household when they first apply for benefits. The household remains an applicant household until the worker certifies the SNAP benefit and the system creates the approval notice.
At certification, the household changes into an annual reporting household, a change reporting household, or a semi-annual reporting household.
A household becomes a change reporting household when you certify the SNAP benefit for 3 or 4 months due to ABAWD, 1 or 2 months due to postponing the interview or verification for an expedited processing, and 99 months for categorically eligible household.
A household becomes a semi-annual reporting household when it does not fall into either of the other two household categories.
