SNAP Companion Coding

Companion coding is used to show how certain cases are related.  It is used to connect SNAP cases to TANF or medical cases – such as ABD, SSI-DCP, etc.

This link will direct you to a resource about Companion Coding.  In the link, you will learn how to:

  • Determine if companion coding is needed.
  • Determine which case is primary / secondary.
  • Code companion cases.

In addition, a video on Quest can be viewed to teach you about Companion Coding.
