DHS as Service Providers
Local offices should have operating hours that meet the needs of clients and applicants who work. Every year, each office is reviewed to ensure that such needs are met.
The results for these reviews are kept with AFS for review by Food and Nutrition Services (FNS).
In order to supplement our ability to provide service to clients, the agency is taking steps to use modern technology in addition to our offices within the community. Every worker is supplied with technology such as email, telephones, and fax machines. In addition, we rely on the Support Centers to answer questions by telephone about cases all across the state.
Although DHS offices must close, technology keeps our doors open at all times to better assist client needs.
