Disqualification Period

Disqualification penalty periods may be different than those referred to an Administrative Disqualification Hearing (ADH). This table shows the lengths of disqualification for clients found guilty in a court case.

Disqualification Period – Court Cases
Court may specify the length of disqualification – this overrides periods listed here
1st Offense involving controlled substances 2 years
2nd Offense involving controlled substances Permanent
1st Offense involving firearms, ammunition, or explosives Permanent
Convicted of trafficking SNAP benefits for aggregate amount of $500 or more Permanent
ADH decision finds that the person made a fraudulent statement with respect to identity or residence in order to receive multiple SNAP benefits Permanent
