Refugee Resettlement Program
A child receiving Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP) cash assistance qualifies as predetermined eligible. RRP is a program that typically provides cash assistance to refugees or asylees entering the United States. The maximum length of these payments is 8 months.
Predetermined Eligible Criteria
Identify participants in the Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP) who receive cash assistance. To confirm a child is in the RRP, obtain a copy of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) eligibility letter.
Depending on where the refugee is in the state, the Centralized Refugee Unit or Catholic Charities administers cash assistance. When a client reports RRP cash assistance, check CM, CMM, and BN screens for this benefit. A recipient will have an "E/A" coding. For cases handled by Catholic Charities, you will have to contact the organization to establish participation; the number is 405-523-3002.
Do not count the household's income for a child receiving RRP cash assistance.
