Predetermined Eligible versus Income Eligible
The predetermined eligible child receives Child Care because he or she receives a public assistance or SSI benefit. There is not a copayment for these children. A child who qualifies as income eligible qualifies for Child Care when the household's countable income meets the appropriate income threshold. You must verify and calculate a household's income to determine if they are eligible for child care. The Appendix C-4 lists the income thresholds for Child Care. The parent or caretaker of a child that is income eligible may be responsible for a copayment.
