Ineligibility at renewal

When you determine that the household is ineligible at renewal, the Child Care must close or remain closed.

  • When you receive the renewal and all required verification before the first deadline, you may use the appropriate closure code to close the benefit. Consult the Appendix U for the correct reason.

  • When you cannot act by first deadline, the system will close the benefit. Once the household provides the renewal and the required verification that shows its ineligibility, you must send a Notice of Action Taken (Form 08MP038E) to explain to household why it is no longer eligible.
