Income Determination

A child must be either income eligible or predetermined eligible to receive Child Care. A child is predetermined eligible when the child receives certain types of benefits.

When a child is not predetermined eligible, you must determine what household members' income is countable, what types of income are countable, and whether the household pays court-ordered child support. A child is income eligible when his or her household’s income is at or below the income threshold. Once you correctly enter these values into FACS, the system will compare the household’s income and family size to the Appendix C-4.
