Major Jeremy Allread

Major Jeremy Allread serves as the commander for Zone 2 which includes Troops A, J and K. Allread earned his Associate of Science Degree in Police Science from Oklahoma State University and joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1998, graduating from the 50th Patrol Academy.

As a road trooper, Allread served in field troops F & A, and held an additional duty assignment as a diver with the OHP Underwater Search and Recovery Team. In 2004, Allread was selected for assignment to the OHP Bomb Squad, and became a certified bomb technician in 2006 upon graduation from the FBI's Hazardous Devices school. Allread promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2007, remaining with the squad and promoting to the rank of Captain in 2013, becoming the OHP Bomb Squad Commander.

As a result of his position and experience, Allread was elected twice as a central region representative for the National Bomb Squad Commander’s Advisory Board (NBSCAB). During his second term, SBSCAB elected Allread as Vice Chair of the Bomb Technician Memorial Foundation.

During his tenure as Captain, Allread held many assignments in tandem with his bomb squad duties, including Dive Team Coordinator, Command Post Operations Coordinator, Captain of the Motors Unit, and Captain of the Turner Turnpike. In addition, Allread has served on numerous committees and boards, including the State Preventive Radiological Nuclear Detection Committee, the State Chemical Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, & Explosives Readiness Committee, the FBI Electronic Countermeasure Task Force, and numerous OHP hiring & promotional boards.

Allread has also been selected to serve on numerous incident management teams as safety officer for several large-scale events, including the 2023 Gubernatorial Inauguration of Governor Kevin Stitt.
