The projects below are weather permitting:

 

US-75 narrows to one lane at Apache St. Friday

Southbound US-75 will be narrowed to one lane at Apache St. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday for guardrail repairs.

 

I-244 ramp to US-75 (NE corner IDL) closed Friday

The eastbound I-244 ramp to southbound US-75 (northeast corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday as part of an ongoing project.

I-244 narrows to one lane near US-75 (NE corner IDL) through June 2025

East and westbound I-244 will be narrowed to one lane at the US-75 junction (northeast corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop) through June 2025 for bridge rehabilitation.

 

Oklahoma Turnpike Authority

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority projects below are weather permitting:

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike narrows west of Kellyville through summer 2025

Eastbound and westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike lanes are shifted, and the lane width is narrowed with no shoulders between mm 201 and mm 203 to SH-66 for the next phase of paving as part of the widening of the Turner Turnpike to six lanes between Bristow (mm 197) and SH-66. Additionally, W. 211th St. is closed between S. 337th W. Ave. and N. 3730 Rd. through summer 2025 for ongoing bridge construction. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to watch for heavy equipment entering the work zone.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike narrowed at SH-99 in Stroud through 2026

Westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike Lane widths are narrowed between SH-99 (mm 179) in Stroud and the westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike service plaza through 2026 as part of an ongoing widening and realignment of the westbound lanes.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike service plaza truck parking areas closed at Stroud for ongoing construction; service plaza remains open for fuel, food and restroom access

The westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike service plaza at Stroud (mm 179) temporarily will have all long-term commercial truck parking closed through early 2026 as part of a project to modernize and reconstruct the service plaza. This project features a full reconstruction of the McDonald's and Loves Travel Stop buildings.

Motorists still will be able to access fuel, restrooms and food at the existing Love's and McDonald's facilities during their reconstruction, however, they should expect lane shifts and changes in access throughout construction. Commercial trucks should locate alternative long-term parking locations.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike lanes shifted at SH-66 in Wellston; SH-66 closed as part of bridge widening project

Westbound and eastbound I-44/Turner Turnpike lanes are shifted at SH-66 Wellston (mm 158-157) to a temporary detour for an ongoing bridge reconstruction project through summer 2025. Ramps will remain open during the lane shift. Motorists are advised to slow down for safety and to remain vigilant in the work zone. Additionally, eastbound and westbound SH-66 remains closed in both directions between the off-ramps for the I-44/Turner Turnpike (mm 158) in Wellston through summer 2025. This closure is between SH-102 and US-177 in Lincoln County and has a signed detour route.

 

SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike intermittently narrows to one lane near I-40

Westbound SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike (runs north) is intermittently narrowed to one lane at mm 44-56, near I-40, through summer 2025 for pavement rehabilitation.

 

SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike narrows near Porter

Eastbound and westbound SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike is narrowed to one lane in each direction from mm 12 just northwest of SH-51 near Coweta to mm 19 at E. 181st St. near Porter through spring 2026 for pavement rehabilitation. Motorists are advised to expect lane closures in 3-mile segments and to use caution in the area.

 

Ongoing Highway Construction Projects

I-44/US-75 interchange improvement continues through summer 2028

A major interchange improvement project continues at the interchange of I-44 and US-75 through summer 2028. Current closures include:

  • The westbound I-44 off-ramp to northbound US-75. Drivers will be able to detour using eastbound I-244 to northbound US-75.
  • Skelly Dr. is closed between Union Ave. and Olympia Ave. until early June.
  • 51st St. is closed between Jackson Ave. and Olympia Ave.

Drivers are urged to pay extra attention in the work zone.

 

I-44, SH-66 interchange improvement continues in Catoosa through summer 2026

Lane closures continue on east and westbound I-44, SH-66 and the I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike ramp to westbound I-44 in Catoosa for an interchange improvement project. Lanes are also narrowed in width. Two lanes of traffic on I-44 will be maintained in both directions at peak travel times. Current traffic impacts include:

  • The westbound I-44 off-ramp to northbound SH-66 is closed. SH-66 traffic can detour using the 165th E. Ave. exit to rejoin eastbound I-44 and take the northbound SH-66 exit.
  • The eastbound I-44 exit lane for SH-66 is shifted west of 193rd E. Ave.
  • Eastbound I-44 traffic is shifted at 193rd E. Ave.
  • The eastbound I-44 on-ramp from 193rd E. Ave. has limited merge distance.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution in the work zone.

 

I-244 narrows in West Tulsa through spring

A pavement rehabilitation project on I-244 between I-44 and the Arkansas River bridge in West Tulsa continues through spring 2025.

SH-97 pavement rehabilitation continues in Sand Springs through summer 2025

A pavement reconstruction on SH-97 from S. Main St. to W. 2nd St. in Sand Springs continues through summer 2025. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in both directions during peak hours.

 

SH-66 narrows to one lane at Bird Creek near Catoosa

SH-66 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at the Bird Creek bridge near Catoosa through early 2026 as part of a bridge replacement project.
