The projects below are weather permitting:

 

US-169 ramp to I-244 closed Thursday

The southbound US-169 ramp to westbound I-244 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for guardrail repairs.

 

I-44 narrows to one lane at SH-66 in Catoosa Thursday

Eastbound I-44 will be narrowed to one lane at the SH-66 interchange in Catoosa from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday for barrier wall placement.

I-44, SH-66 interchange improvement continues in Catoosa through summer 2026

Lane closures continue on east and westbound I-44, SH-66 and the I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike ramp to westbound I-44 in Catoosa for an interchange improvement project. Lanes are also narrowed in width. Two lanes of traffic on I-44 will be maintained in both directions at peak travel times

 

SH-66 narrows near King Rd. in Claremore Thursday

Westbound SH-66 (runs south) will be narrowed to one lane between the new SH-20 bridge and King Rd.from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for striping.

 

US-412 narrows to one lane near Inola Thursday

East and westbound US-412 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at 4170 Rd. near Inola Thursday for surface testing. Eastbound US-412 will be narrowed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and westbound from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Oklahoma Turnpike Authority

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority projects below are weather permitting:

 

I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike narrows to one lane in Claremore Thursday

Westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane at SH-20 (mm 254) in Claremore from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for guardrail repairs. No ramps will be affected.

 

Creek Turnpike ramp at Elm St. in Jenks shifted Thursday night

The westbound SH-364/Creek Turnpike off-ramp to Elm St./Peoria Ave. in Jenks will be narrowed and shifted from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday for surface repairs.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike narrows west of Sapulpa for bridge repairs

Westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike will have one lane closed at W. 111th St. (mm 214) on the west side of Sapulpa through late winter 2025 for emergency bridge repairs to the county bridge that crosses above turnpike traffic. Additionally, motorists can expect intermittent rolling road blocks slowing traffic on westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike at W. 111th St. from 8 p.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday. W. 111th St. will be closed between S. 152nd W. Ave. and S. Willow Lane for the duration of the bridge repairs. A signed detour route will be in place for local county road traffic.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike narrows west of Kellyville through summer 2025

Eastbound and westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike lanes are shifted, and the lane width is narrowed with no shoulders between mm 201 and mm 203 to SH-66 for the next phase of paving as part of the widening of the Turner Turnpike to six lanes between Bristow (mm 197) and SH-66. Additionally, W. 211th St. is closed between S. 337th W. Ave. and N. 3730 Rd. through summer 2025 for ongoing bridge construction. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to watch for heavy equipment entering the work zone.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike lane width narrows at SH-99 in Stroud

Westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike motorists are advised to expect lanes that are slightly narrowed in width between SH-99 in Stroud (mm 179) and the westbound Turner Turnpike service plaza for service plaza reconstruction. The service plaza will remain open throughout construction.

 

I-44/Turner Turnpike lanes shifted at SH-66 in Wellston; SH-66 closed as part of bridge widening project

Westbound and eastbound I-44/Turner Turnpike lanes are shifted at SH-66 Wellston (mm 158-157) to a temporary detour for an ongoing bridge reconstruction project through summer 2025. Ramps will remain open during the lane shift. Motorists are advised to slow down for safety and to remain vigilant in the work zone. Additionally, eastbound and westbound SH-66 remains closed in both directions between the off-ramps for the I-44/Turner Turnpike (mm 158) in Wellston through summer 2025. This closure is between SH-102 and US-177 in Lincoln County and has a signed detour route.

 

Ongoing Highway Construction Projects

 

I-244 closed between I-44, US-75; I-244/US-75 narrow in West Tulsa

A pavement rehabilitation project on I-244 between I-44 and the Arkansas River bridge in West Tulsa continues through spring 2025. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction between the US-75 split and the Arkansas River during peak travel times. Current closures include:

  • All lanes and on-ramps of westbound I-244 are closed between US-75 (mm 2) and I-44 (mm 1A) through spring 2025.
  • I-244 is narrowed to two lanes in both directions between US-75 and the Arkansas River bridge.
  • Westbound I-244/southbound US-75 off-ramp at 21st St. is closed.
  • Westbound I-244/southbound US-75 off-ramp to 23rd St. is closed.
  • Westbound I-244/southbound US-75 on-ramp from Southwest Blvd. near 23rd St. is closed.
  • 48th St. is closed at Southwest Blvd.

 

I-244 narrows to one lane near US-75 (NE corner IDL) through early 2025

East and westbound I-244 will be narrowed to one lane at the US-75 junction (northeast corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop) through early 2025 for bridge rehabilitation.

 

US-75 off-ramp to 7th St. (E leg IDL) closed through early 2025

The northbound US-75 off-ramp to 7th St. (east leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop) is closed through early 2025 for bridge rehabilitation.

 

I-44, SH-66 interchange improvement continues in Catoosa through summer 2026

Lane closures continue on east and westbound I-44, SH-66 and the I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike ramp to westbound I-44 in Catoosa for an interchange improvement project. Lanes are also narrowed in width. Two lanes of traffic on I-44 will be maintained in both directions at peak travel times. Drivers are urged to use extra caution in the work zone.

 

Bridge rehabilitation project continues on US-412 at 81st W. Ave. in Sand Springs through February 2025

US-412 is narrowed to two lanes in each direction at 81st W. Ave. in Sand Springs through February 2025 for a bridge rehabilitation project. Current closures include:

  • 81st W. Ave. is narrowed to one lane in both directions at US-412.

 

US-75 bridge construction at 141st St. in Glenpool through summer 2025

Drivers on north and southbound US-75 should be aware of narrowed and shifted lanes and a reduced speed limit at 141st St. in Glenpool through summer 2025 as part of a bridge construction project. Two lanes of traffic will be open in each direction on US-75 during peak travel times.

 

SH-97 pavement rehabilitation continues in Sand Springs through spring 2025

A pavement reconstruction on SH-97 from S. Main St. to W. 2nd St. in Sand Springs continues through spring 2025. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in both directions during peak hours.

  • The SH-97 center turn lanes at US-412 are closed until further notice. Access to US-412 remains open.
  • Alexander Blvd. is closed west of SH-97 through February for drainage installation.
