Get your career off to a running start with the unique combination of on-the-job training, challenging opportunities and superior benefits offered by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). As an ODOT engineer, you will be responsible for the planning construction and maintenance of the total transportation system in Oklahoma. The challenges are as varied as the Oklahoma terrain, but our Engineer Development Program is designed to ensure your success. Entering the department as an Engineer Intern, you can be ready to take the Professional Engineer examination in four years thanks to a development program that provides you with the professional guidance and job experiences necessary to fulfill the Professional Engineering requirements. Additionally, this program will groom you to assume positions of leadership in engineering.
The minimum requirement for application to ODOT's Engineer Development Program is a BS in Civil Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university.
