US-69 frontage roads at Comanche Ave., Peaceable Rd. affected Monday, Tuesday
The projects below are weather permitting:
US-69 west frontage road intermittently stopped at Comanche Ave. in McAlester Monday
Drivers will be intermittently stopped on the US-69 west frontage road (runs south) between Comanche Ave. and Peaceable Rd. in McAlester Monday for surface repairs. Drivers should be alert and use caution as flaggers will be directing traffic while crews address various locations along this stretch, weather permitting. If weather delays progress, crews will continue into the week if necessary. Drivers should plan extra travel time and expect delays.
US-69 east frontage road lanes shift at Peaceable Rd. in McAlester Tuesday
Traffic on the US-69 east frontage road (runs north) will be shifted onto new pavement between Peaceable Rd. and Wade Watts Ave. in McAlester Tuesday to allow construction of the outside lane of the frontage road. This shift is part of the US-69 reconstruction project awarded at the Oct. 5, 2020 Oklahoma Transportation Commission meeting to Allen Contracting for $32 million. Work is estimated to be completed by fall 2022.
