SH-99 bridge replacement in Osage County; lanes narrowed, temporary signals in place

Friday, December 04, 2020

The project below is weather permitting:

As part of an ongoing $16 million project to replace the SH-99 bridges over the Caney River and Pond Creek in Osage County, traffic is now in a new configuration, and drivers should use caution.

The SH-99/Caney River bridge is located two miles south of the Oklahoma/Kansas Border, and the SH-99/Pond Creek bridge is four miles south of the border. SH-99 is now narrowed to one lane with a temporary signal in place at both bridges. Short delays can be expected at both locations.

The project began in June 2020, and overall completion is scheduled for fall 2021, weather permitting.
