Virtual open house underway for proposed US-169/US-64 (Memorial Dr.)/Creek Turnpike (SH-364) interchange improvements in Tulsa County

Thursday, July 08, 2021

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting a virtual open house to provide information on proposed improvements to the junction of US-169, US-64 (Memorial Dr.) and the Creek Turnpike (SH-364) in Tulsa County.

This is a heavily congested interchange, and travelers experience significant delays at the current access points. To help improve traffic flow and safety, the department is proposing a Diverging Diamond Interchange, or DDI, at this location. This design reduces several left turn conflict points and congestion by shifting traffic to the opposite side of the roadway at the ramp areas through a series of traffic signals.

The public can visit www.odot.org/US64-US169Tulsa through July 28 to view the proposal, including an interactive map and video showing how a DDI functions, and also provide comments which can assist in further plan development. The project is scheduled for bid in FFY2022.
