The Oklahoma Department of Transportation Civil Rights Division is presenting a free, one day conference for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises on Feb. 16 called "Making Every Connection Count: Diversity & Inclusion!"

The event is a valuable networking opportunity for DBE firms, contractors, consultants, municipalities and anyone interested in opportunities to grow their firm. For more information about DBE firms and to review qualifications to become a DBE, visit www.odot.org under Doing Business or call the Civil Rights Division at 405-521-3186.

This year's conference will focus on making connections and building relationships through networking with DBE firms and prime contractors/consultants. Rooms will be set up where the two groups can visit and discuss ways they can collaborate and create new joint ventures. Another room will provide history and current information on minorities in transportation and will feature some of ODOT's minority and female leaders along with a Civil Rights Division panel to answer questions. The conference also provides a total of five Professional Development Hours for Professional Engineers.
