WellPower is a program of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust that promotes wellness for Oklahoma residents.

Our interventions focus on nutrition, fitness, and tobacco cessation, utilizing SAMHSA's 8 Dimensions of Wellness as a guideline for total wellness.

Wellness Coaches

Wellness Coaches are individuals who are actively working on personal wellness and who are designated to collaborate with others to identify their personal strengths and goals within the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.

Educational requirements include:  A behavioral health related associates degree or two years of field experience; and/or an active certification and/or license within the behavioral health field (such as PRSS, Case Management, LBHP, LPN, etc.)

Wellness Committees

Forming a work site wellness committee helps to give organization and drive behind wellness initiatives and promotes involvement from agency employees.  New policies, changes, and procedures are more likely to be implemented and improved when each staff member is given the opportunity to provide feedback.
