Spring 2024 Certification Classes
Classes are open to staff in public and tribal libraries in Oklahoma.
All registrations will be processed online using Eventbrite. This system allows you to verify you are registered. There is a limit of 20 per class (except for the webinar), and classes will not be held if less than 5 people register. You will be notified by e-mail if a class has been cancelled. If any classes are full, you will be able to place your name on a waiting list if you register with an email address.
Due to the availability and popularity of the online classes, only one session is being offered for each class. Please register early to reserve your spot.
All class content is available to view and download on the Library Academy Website.

New Current Trends in Libraries Webinar
Trauma-Informed Librarianship with Q&A presented by Beth Wahler-- Open to anyone!
This webinar will address trauma and how it can impact public library patrons and staff in libraries of all sizes. Current Trends in Libraries is a required course for initial certification, but it is also open to any interested library staff in Oklahoma. The webinar will be recorded and made available on Niche Academy after the live event.
Last year's webinar on Generational Fluency presented by Jessica Stollings-Holder will be available on Niche Academy until April 21, 2024. Individuals seeking initial certification only need to watch one Current Trends in Libraries webinar.
All the Public Library Academy certification classes are also available online.
Request access by visiting the Public Library Academy Certification Courses on Niche Academy and creating an account. You will receive an email when access has been approved.
