Oklahoma Planning Strategy
Oklahoma has 35 sites identified to create local mass dispensing and mass immunization plans. County Health Administrators, along with their staff, are responsible for identifying planning partners, supplies, locations and tools to successfully create a written Mass Immunization/Prophylaxis Strategy (MIPS) Plan.
These administrators and local county health department staff have done an excellent job in coordinating with local authorities in their jurisdiction, as well as identifying neighboring communities to create a statewide MIPS response. For new communities and counties just beginning their part MIPS planning, Local Emergency Planning Committees have been excellent partners in creating these plans and bringing invaluable resources to the response efforts.
In addition to resources, regional team members are located throughout the state to assist with these local planning efforts. To contact a regional team member in your area, click here for their contact information.
