Immunizations

The mission of the Immunization Service is to provide services which reduce the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases in Oklahoma.

While these diseases are near a record low in the United States, the viruses and bacteria that cause them still exist. even disease that are nearly nonexistent in this country are only a plane ride away. Once contracted, these diseases can be passed on to people who are not protected.

Childhood Immunizations:

·         Tetanus

·         DTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus, and Acellular Pertussis)

·         Polio

·         MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

·         Haemophilus Influenza Type B (HIB)

·         Hepatitis A

·         Hepatitis B

·         Varicella (Chicken Pox)

Fees

Vaccines for Children program - Children from birth through 18 years of age in the following categories are eligible for vaccines at no cost:

  • SoonerCare eligible: A child who is eligible for the Medicaid program (SoonerCare in Oklahoma) or is enrolled in the Medicaid program.
  • Uninsured: A child who has no health insurance coverage
  • American Indian or Alaskan Native

*For those with insurance, we provide third party billing. Based on your insurance plan, you may be responsible for deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurances for fees not covered by your insurance.

 *Eligibility to receive adult vaccines is based on your insurance status and vaccine availability- Please call for availability and more information.

*Those with Medicaid, Medicare, and HealthChoice Insurances can receive their vaccinations at no cost.

Influenza (Flu) Vaccination:

Flu vaccine will be available for anyone who wants to be protected from influenza. The shot is recommended for everyone 6 months of age and older. Persons at high risk of serious complications from flu are strongly encouraged to get the flu vaccine, including pregnant women and people with asthma, diabetes, chronic heart and lung disease, or other chronic conditions. Parents and family members of babies less than 6 months of age and people who live with or care for anyone at high risk for complications from the flu, including health care workers, should also get the vaccine.

Fees

  • No charge for children who have no health insurance, or are on SoonerCare or are Native American or Alaskan natives, or children whose insurance does not cover vaccines.
  • There may be a cost of $25 for the vaccination.
  • Third party insurance billing is available
