Health Education

Health education is an integral part of public health.  Health educators provide information and resources to individuals and communities in an effort to promote, maintain and improve health lifestyles.  

Presentations and Education provided for the following, but not limited to:

  • Nutrition
  • Physical Activity
  • Teen Pregnancy Prevention
  • School Health
  • HIV/STIs
  • Dental
  • Hygiene, including Handwashing
  • Chronic Disease
  • CPR
  • Tobacco
  • Employee Wellness
  • Human Growth and Development
  • Resources

Health Educators are responsible for providing community presentations and health education on a variety of topics. They work to prevent future health disparities within the community.  Health Educators are involved with local coalitions and initiatives while also building relationships with community members through outreach.  They work with all ages and organizations, including childcare facilities, schools, community organizations, local businesses, and more. 

Health Education presentations and available publications are offered free of charge to the public.
