Tobacco Use Prevention
The Tobacco Program at McIntosh County Health Department is a comprehensive tobacco control program that aims to reduce tobacco use throughout the community.
Our Tobacco Program focuses on three core areas: Tobacco Cessation, Youth Prevention, and Secondhand Smoke.
Goals are to:
- Promote quitting among youth and adults
- Prevent youth from starting smoking
- Protect children, workers, and the public from secondhand smoke
- Eliminate disparities of tobacco use among population groups
