Comanche County Health Department Extends the Drive-thru COVID-19 Testing

LAWTON, OKLA. – Due to increased demand, the Comanche County Health Department will continue its COVID-19 testing at the Comanche County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, January 5.

Individuals who need a COVID-19 test can go to the drive-thru at the fairgrounds, 920 SW Sheridan Road, from 9 am to 4 pm.

Testing will also be available at the health department, 1010 SW Sheridan Road, from 4 pm to 6 pm on Wednesday, January 5.

Drivers attending the drive-thru will need to use the entrance on ‘G’ Avenue and proceed to the EXPO Building. Drivers will then exit on Sheridan Road. The Drive-thru is only for those who need a COVID-19 test.

A reminder that the extended hours for COVID testing are for individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and those who may have been exposed to the virus in the last three to five days. This testing site is not appropriate for those seeking testing results for employment requirements, travel or medical procedures.

Individuals are encouraged to register prior to arrival for their COVID-19 testing, even though walk-ins are available based on availability. Appointments are encouraged and can be made online at: osdh.immytech.com

Earlier this week, the health department announced extended hours for those who need either a COVID-19 vaccination or test. In Lawton, the health department will remain open until 6 pm on January 5 and 10 and will
be open on the next two Saturdays, January 8 and 15 from 10 am to 3 pm.
