Child Development
Child Development Specialists are professionals trained in early childhood development and behavior. Child Development Specialists provide the following services to all families with children from birth to 8 years:
- Developmental screenings that provide information about abilities in motor, language, perceptual, cognitive,
and personal social skills. - Consultation and parent education on child behavior and common topics/issues such as toilet learning, tantrums, positive discipline, sleep issues, specific learning activities and information on future development.
- Consultation and education to childcare providers on early childhood and group care topics.
- Consultation is available to other professionals, public/private school staff, medical providers and organizations that have interest in young children.
