Program Areas
Cleveland County Health Department offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduates students in the areas of:
• Administration
• Environmental Health
• Health Education
• Nursing
• Occupational Therapy
• Psychology
• Speech Language Pathology
• Child Development
Limited opportunities in each service area available.
Compensation
Please note the Cleveland County Health Department is unable to provide compensation for internships. In addition to the application process, interns are subject to an interview process.
Cleveland County Health Department is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. Hours may vary by program. Some after hours and weekend work may be requested or made available depending on program area.
Applicants will be notified via email as to whether or not opportunities are available during designated time requested.
How to Apply
Students who are interested in participating in a public health internship with the Cleveland County Health Department should compile the information listed below and email to Michelle Lambert at MichelSW@health.ok.gov.
Please include the following items within your message:
• Application
• Resume
• Brief personal statement addressing your goals for the internship (500 words or less). The personal statement should also specify your area of interest and competencies you wish to develop or that are required by your program.
All internship requests will be processed using the outlined application materials and requirements and must be submitted via email as indicated above.
