Oklahoma Colorectal Cancer Screening

The Oklahoma Colorectal Screening Program provides colonoscopy and related services to Oklahoma residents who meet program guidelines. The program is funded through the Oklahoma Legislature on a yearly cycle and has served more than 2,000 Oklahomans since 2007.

Services include:

• Prep for colonoscopy
• Office visit(s)
• Colonoscopy

Services are currently only available at one facility in Oklahoma City. This location will be provided to those who are eligible for services.

Eligibility guidelines:

• Male or female.
• At or below 185% of federal poverty guidelines.
• No insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
• 45-75 years of age.
  • Younger individuals may qualify if they meet one or more of the following qualifying medical criteria:
    • Personal history of colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer.
    • Close relative with colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer.
    • Diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.
    • Genetic syndrome such as familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) and Lynch syndrome (also known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer).
    • Symptoms of diarrhea, rectal bleeding, unexplained weight loss, stomach pain that won't go away.
