Child and Adolescent Health Data
Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Assessment collects information on children and adolescents to provide evaluation and assessment support for the programs and services administered.
Data are collected by monitoring services provided by local health departments and community clinics, gathering information from intra-agency, local and national reports, and other surveys.
Surveys administered by MCH Assessment relating to child and adolescent health include:
- TOTS (The Oklahoma Toddler Survey) –This population based survey is a follow-up to the PRAMS survey. Mothers who participated in PRAMS are surveyed when the baby turns two years old about risk factors, health care access, environmental safety and other health related issues of early childhood.
- Teen Birth Statistics- Birth reports utilizing data from Oklahoma Vital Records
