Early Childhood Program
The Early Childhood Program provides resources and coordination for preventive health and safety services to children, families, and early childhood caregivers; as well as serving in collaborative partnerships with other state agencies and organizations
Target Population: Newborn – 8 years, parents, community members, and early childhood caregivers

- Good Health Handbook (12.8MB pdf) - a valuable tool for childcare providers and parents toward the reduction in the spread of disease, improved nutrition and physical fitness, and increased awareness of health and safety issues
- The Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness (OPSR)
- Provides ongoing support for the implementation of the OKFutures Strategic Plan and serves as Oklahoma’s Early Childhood State Advisory Council
- Administers the Oklahoma Clearinghouse for Early Childhood Success. The Clearinghouse promotes well-being for children and their families by building an evolving definition of quality, fast-tracking innovation, implementing research-informed practice and practice-informed research to support and improve early childhood systems and maximizing public/private partnerships.
- The Center for Early Childhood Professional Development (CECPD)
- Supports individuals who work in licensed child care facilities throughout Oklahoma
- Has an online system that recognizes and documents professional development in the early care and education field (Oklahoma Professional Development Registry)
