Thursday, March 13, 2025

Today, Governor Kevin Stitt announced his appointment of Christopher Anderson as associate district judge of Seminole County.

“Christopher has served Oklahomans with integrity and has deep appreciation for justice,” said Governor Stitt. “His experience as a successful prosecutor, special district judge, and private attorney makes him uniquely qualified to serve on the bench. I am confident he will continue to uphold the rule of law with fairness and impartiality.”

Anderson has served as special district judge for Seminole and Hughes counties since 2019. He was previously an assistant district attorney in Seminole County from 2010 to 2019, where he managed a large criminal caseload and prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanors to violent crimes. Anderson also ran a successful private law practice, handling criminal defense, civil litigation, title work, probate, family law, and guardianships.

“I am committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring fair and impartial justice for all members of our community,” said Anderson. “I’ve dedicated my career to serving the public and advocating for justice, and I am honored to continue that service in this new role. I’m honored by Governor Stitt’s appointment and look forward to continued service.”

Anderson graduated from East Central University with a degree in political science before earning his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Outside of his legal work, Anderson is active in his community, volunteering as a youth soccer and basketball coach. He and his wife, Megan, reside in Wewoka with their son, Clifford. Anderson’s headshot is available here.
